Our company was founded on a simple idea: bring the knowledge and experience of emergency-trained Firefighter/Paramedics into the comfort of your home to help identify health and safety concerns before they become emergencies.
Every day, paramedics respond to 911 calls where many medical emergencies could have been prevented through earlier intervention, education, and routine monitoring. Salus was created to bridge that gap by providing proactive, personalized care focused on prevention rather than reaction.
Our experienced Firefighter/Paramedics perform comprehensive in-home wellness assessments, evaluate health and safety risks, review medications, assess fall risk, monitor vital signs, provide health education, and develop personalized recommendations to help individuals remain healthier, safer, and more independent.

Our Founder
Christopher Curbelo
RN, BSN, EMT-P
Christopher Curbelo, the founder of Salus Paramedic Care, grew up in Miami, Florida. Christopher has worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic since 2018 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University.
Christopher is a Lieutenant with Tamarac Fire Rescue and is a member of the Tamarac EMS Team. As a member of the EMS Team, Christopher has competed in multiple competitions throughout the State of Florida, the country, and the world. He is a three-time Florida ALS Competition Champion and competed in the NAVRA EMS World Competition, where he earned a first place finish.
Christopher has also worked as a nurse since 2017. His experience includes working in the emergency department, as well as pre- and post-surgical care.
Christopher created Salus Paramedic Care because he has experienced first-hand the need for additional, personalized at-home care. He has witnessed countless situations that could have been prevented or better managed with early, in-home care.
